This 1940’s Custom Cape Ranch was long overdue for a major overhaul and received one with this full renovation and addition. With the brand new construction, in 2018, an entirely new second floor was added to the home. The corner of the home was squared off to enlarge the kitchen which features a skylight monitor. The classically detailed arched doorways and raised panel millwork in the living room, dining room, stair hall and bedrooms were kept and refinished, as were the many original red brick fireplaces found in most rooms. These and other Traditional features were kept to balance the contemporary renovations resulting in a Transitional style throughout the home. Large windows and French doors were added to allow ample natural light to enter the home. The mainly white interior enhances this light and brightens a previously dark home. Additionally all the bathrooms were either added new or gutted completely. To enhance the exterior new white vinyl siding was added with black shutters and doors.
